Microsoft plans to buy Activision Blizzard for nearly $70 billion.
Activision Blizzard makes some of the most popular titles like Call of Duty and Candy Crush. The acquisition would help Microsoft gain on its rival Sony in the long running battle for gamers' attention. It would also help Microsoft stay ahead of powerful new competitors like Amazon and Google.
Microsoft is valued at $2.3 trillion, second only to Apple.
