The Lord does expect certain things of us, in demonstration of our love and devotion for Him. While He does not frame these expectations as commandments, edicts and demands, He does articulate them. When you know someone and love someone, you seek to show them and demonstrate that love! Those who know what the Lord expects of them but who refuse to comply will face an end akin to that of unbelievers.
