In an interview Carli Llyod opened up about how miserable it was for her to play women's soccer on the USWNT over the past 7 years. Carli Lloyd stated that she loved playing soccer because of her passion for the sport and because of her competitive nature. However, the political culture of the USWNT created by Megan Rapinoe made playing soccer on the USWNT a miserable experience for Lloyd and many others. Rapinoe is a selfish opportunist that used her teammates and hijacked the sport of women's soccer in order to advance her own career outside of soccer as a disingenuous activist.
