Ever since Matt Reeves came out and said that he was going to "Out-Nolan" his Batman Movie, it caused people to reexamine Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy. What some people came to the realization to is what I've been saying for years; The Dark Knight Trilogy was not gritty at all. The term "Gritty Reboot" was just a corporate marketing scheme
