LIA THOMAS, “I’M A WOMAN, JUST LIKE ANYBODY ELSE ON THE TEAM.”

The issue is not about rights as all citizens share the same protection under our Constitution regardless of their chosen lifestyle as long as it doesn’t infringe on another. The issue is what is true and what is not true and the truth is; it is not possible to transition from one gender to another. If you are triggered in any way by that fact, then your problem is with reality not me. Still, we live in a free society where, as an adult citizen, you can do and be what you wish. I have no qualms about how you choose to live or how you identify yourself. I would never advocate for aggression against you simply because we do not agree. That being said I, of course, cannot be condemned for my expectation of reciprocity. I will not tolerate targeted aggression aimed at me because I refuse to have my rights infringed upon to acquiesce to someone’s mental disease. As adults these individuals can decide to get the help they deserve or not, as long as they do not pose a credible threat to the safety of the community and I do not believe they do. Their pursuit of happiness just looks different than mine and that’s okay. What is not okay and what will never be okay is abandoning truth and then calling it progress. And in doing so, forcibly taking from others to give to some, is not compassion - it’s tyranny.
