One of the very first Medical Lies I remember being taught in medical school was that Vitamin D drops were necessary for exclusively breastfed babies because human mothers don't secrete Vitamin D in their breast milk. It struck me as very odd at the time, but I was too busy and too tired to research it, so I filed it away for later.

A few years later I finally had time to look into this "fact" and I found a large study done by a researcher in the Carolinas which showed this to be just what it was, a medical lie.
