Are mostly forgotten

This wrinkled face
This old grey beard
The simpler time
Have now disappeared

Replaced by an era
Driven by greed
The world now spinning
At breakneck speed

Surrounded by those
Who always demand
But never have time
To just lend a hand

I've had a good life
Fun and exciting
But if the Lord wants to take me
I won't be fighting
