NIGHTMARE CITY 1980 (AKA City of the Walking Dead, and Incubo Sulla Città Contaminata in Italy) Director Umberto Lenzi creates a desolate, bleak, dreary and panic-stricken scenario that starts out like a Twilight Zone episode of a jet plane landing with no communications and nobody seemingly aboard. One of my personal favorites of the Italian Zombie genre.

The plot is basically this: In a nameless city, a local reporter and his doctor wife try to escape from hordes of blood thirsty zombies, undead people exposed to nuclear radioactivity, while the military leaders fight a losing war of attrition against the relentless atomic zombies.
