What's the cost to actively listen?

How many things have your parents told you about that you didn't listen to? How about grandparents? Aunts and uncles? Teachers and elders?
Actively listening prevents you from falling in the gaps of not listening. #justlisten Majority of the time these people don't want you to get hurt in spaces that they endured some type of pain. So why didn't you listen?
What is preventing you from being an active listener? What is telling you not to listen this information? Is it believed that the info given has no real importance in your life? #isitimportant Would my life be different if I listen to this person for just a moment?
Does someone's status make a difference on whether or not you should take their advice or info seriously?
