I had a Dalmation that did this. But he had a much darker side, he would be very excited and happy to meet new people who came to the house, but as soon as they were leaving he would stand in front of the door growling and showing his teeth and would not let them leave. Our house was a Hotel California.....

Our very 1st rescue was of a German Shepphard Rotty mix. When we got her she hated men and if you tried to leave the house unescorted by either the wife or myself she would bite your hand or your ass as you attempted to leave. Tosha turned out to be so protective of my wife it made it so I could work over nights at my job knowing she was safe.
