DPST 3X Leveraged Equity Unadjusted Chart Analysis

A lot can be learned from an unadjusted chart which is what we have here in this video. It mainly helps you see the effects of splitting stocks.

DPST has had 2 splits:
1 reverse split 1:10 on 04/23/2020
1 forward split 5:1 on 10/25/2021

All time high before any splitting or pandemic: $95.94

Once first 1:10 reverse split occurred the high then became $307.26 which would have been $307.26 / 10 = $30.73 before the reverse split.

Then there was a 5:1 forward split. The high since this split was $67.69, which is really $33.85 if no splitting ever occurred.

The 1:10 reverse split was a reaction to the pandemic where the low got down to $4.10. Then the market started going back up faster than everyone expected but keep in mind it only got back to the equivalent of $30.73 before the reverse split. $30.73 is closer to the bottom range this stock ran in, $16.95 being the lowest prior to the low of $4.10 in the pandemic.

DPST Calculation

DPST has had 2 splits:
1 reverse split 1:10 on 04/23/2020 1/10 = 0.10
1 forward split 5:1 on 10/25/2021 5/1 = 5
To go from now back to the beginning, it would be 0.1 x 5 = 0.5

Example
If a person owned 100 shares before any splitting, they would have 10 shares after the first 1:10 reverse split and the share price would be x10. Then if they kept holding, when the 5:1 forward split happened they would then have (10x5) or 50 shares and the price would have divided by 5.
So effectively the two splits have gotten you halfway back to where it started. So, if a person now had 50 shares, in the beginning they would have had (50x2) or 100 shares and the price would have been divided by 2. The current 3/2/22 price is $52.72 at 1:49PM EST. Therefore, it has effectively made it back to $26.36 had there never been any splits….reverse or forward. Since the high was $95.94 before ANY splitting occurred that would mean doubling the old high of $95.94 will show the high this should be NOW capable of at $191.88.
