The human personality is made up of three features (or traits). That is of temperament, type of perception, and type of nature. There are four temperaments, three types of perception (sensory, mental, and mixed), and four natures (physical, reasonable, sentimental, and emotional).

Human nature is the ideological center of a person. Nature makes the person’s values. It is his identity organ and a decision-making center. It is his Ego, his Self.

According to George Gurdjieff the total number of human personalities is made of 48 types.

In the astrological charts, they don’t take into consideration a person’s temperament. In these charts, twelve constellations represent a combination of four natures and three types of perception.

The four natures of a person are connected to the four elements of the ancients. The temperaments are also connected to the four elements.

The choleric temperament corresponds to the fire element, the melancholic to the earth element, the sanguine to the air, the phlegmatic to the water element.

The symbols like a bull, a lion, a man, and an eagle representing the 4 types of human nature (physical, reasonable, sentimental, and emotional).
