All New Honda HR-V - 2022

All-New #Honda #HR-V - 2022 - #SUV Compact #Electric #Hybrid, Honda has announced that the all-new HR-V, which will go on sale across Europe from late 2021, will only be equipped with the company's advanced e: HEV Hybrid Powertrain. By introducing the proven Powertrain to compact SUVs, a new blend of efficiency and performance has been introduced to this highly competitive class.

The next-generation #eHEV HRV Powertrain delivers a total power output of 96kW (131PS), coupled with 253Nm of torque. The impression is an easy and comfortable ride, whether driving or driving at high speed on the highway. A fuel-efficient hybrid system that produces CO 2 emissions of 122 g/km (WLTP) and a fuel economy of 5.4L/100km (WLTP), while also propelling the HR-V from stopping to 62 mph/100 km/h in 10, 6 seconds.

The all-new HR-V is the latest model to join e: HEV family, joining the #CR-V and #Jazz as it is only available with a hybrid Powertrain.

The state-of-the-art #e HEV hybrid Powertrain offers a unique full hybrid experience. The system comprises two compact and powerful electric motors working alongside the Atkinson cycle 1.5 liter DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine, lithium-ion battery, and fixed-gear transmission. Innovative unit coupled to an intelligent power control unit.

The battery cell count has also been revised, increasing from 48 to 60 to account for the larger HR-V size, and to support greater power storage and deployment over the 80 kW Jazz.

When driving at a constant high speed, such as on the highway, the system operates on engine drive because it is the most efficient for that scenario. If more acceleration is required, such as when overtaking, the car will switch to hybrid drive for an additional performance boost. In addition, when in Hybrid Drive, the power from the generator driven by the gasoline engine can recharge the battery, offering additional efficiency.

The 'Sport' mode can activated via the drive selector, allowing for sharper throttle response, while the 'Econ' mode adjusts the AC system and throttle response for an emphasis on fuel efficiency. Besides the 'Normal' mode, where the car is the most balanced between the two worlds, the driver can switch across all driving modes by activating the switch.
