Breaking Los Angeles Lakers news sees Rob Pelinka sign DJ Augustin off the NBA Buyout Market and waive DeAndre Jordan who signed with the Lakers in the 2021 NBA offseason. According to Shams Charania, the Lakers are signing DJ Augustin to replace Jordan on the Lakers’ roster, who will serve as a backup PG to Russell Westbrook as the Lakers try to turn around their 2021-22 season and make the NBA playoffs. LeBron James and the Lakers are 9th in the Western Conference standings at 27-33. Lakers star Anthony Davis has battled injuries all season, and have been inconsistent all season long, leading some to believe Frank Vogel is on the hot seat and could be fired at season’s end.
