I taste some wine from Ukraine's seaside city of Odessa and toast the nation and it's heroes in Ukrainian. The wine is a sweet stunner with flavors of cassis (blackcurrant), Blueberry, and a hint of . . . Chocolate!

It is called Kagor (Cahor - names after Cahors France). Peter the Great loved their wines so much that he had vineyards planted in current Georgia, Croatia, and Ukraine.

I try it with chocolates and chocolate wafers from Ukraine. It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Saperavi - one of their local grapes.

Do yourself a favor and try some!!
