God Put the Gun in My Right Hand

I want to live in peace and freedom.
I believe in "do no harm."
But, when I lay naked and bleeding,
No one sounded the alarm.

When I lay my body down to weep,
I prayed the Lord would give me peace.
And when I cried, "Lord, please help me stand,"
God put the gun in my right hand.
