I came upon this historic 1800s pioneer era cemetery just outside of the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. I think it's fascinating to visit cemeteries like this one and imagine what life was like for these individuals. Many times you'll see a number of small children laid to rest indicating life was hard. I can only imagine what daily like was life for these intrepid individuals who were on the forefront of pioneer endeavors on the Great Plains.
