Question:

My bf and I have been together for almost one year.

We are both in our early 40s, never married with no kids. I’ve always wanted a family badly.

I voiced this earlier in the relationship and he said he could go either way. I want to start trying ASAP but he is now making excuses, such as the risks involved due to my age and he doesn’t want to rush. He is traditional and wants engagement and traditional wedding, etc.

But, that’s not important to me and I don’t have time for that. I’m so torn, He is an amazing partner other than this subject and it took me forever to find a healthy relationship.

I feel that I will hold resentment if he doesn't agree to try for kids. But starting over again at this age and finding someone else in time seems grim.

I do love him but I feel like I’m holding resentment! Please help! Thank you.
