Jesus' Love

The bible illustration of love is found in Jesus. His love left the comforts of heaven and came down to earth in a time so rugged and brutal, most people would not even consider it. He not only lived in physically tough times, but he dealt constantly with people that did not understand him or outright opposed him. His love did not lead to a cushy life, but quite the opposite.

When Christians talk about walking in the footsteps of Jesus, too many Christians imagine something sweet and comfortable (and when those times come along, they are ok) but being Christian is tough. It is hard. It is trying. That is the love God is looking for. He desires love that is willing to crawl across broken glass if necessary to reach higher spiritual ground.
