More than 100 classic and sports car enthusiasts gathered for an autistic seven-year-old's birthday - after a plea by his mum.

Trinity Robins, 28, posted an appeal on social media for car owners to take part in a special meet for her Carterjay's seventh bday bash.

The response was so overwhelming Trinity had to organise another venue that would be big enough to fit everyone.

Carterjay's birthday took place on Sunday (27th) at a car park in Taunton in Somerset.

Hundreds of classic, vintage and sports cars made an appearance on the special day - including a Nissan GTR, a McLaren and a classic county Sheriff police car.

Mum-of-two Trinity posted her appeal on January 31 for her car-enthusiast son and planned the surprise party for a few weeks.

She said: ''We felt absolutely amazed and grateful for everyone making the day so special.'

Carterjay's love of cars came from his uncle and his dream is to open his own car cleaning business one day.
