Preparign a raised. vegetable bed for my organic backyard food forest

I had left over wooden panels from the 50 year old garage door that I recently replaced. The old panels were not thrown away, but recycled by me to make two new raised beds 8 ft by 4 ft, and I still have a few panels left over for future use.
Meanwhile, the beds are being prepared by a combination of wood twigs, grass mulch, home grown compost, worm compost and other stuff, all from organic matter of my own backyard. Finally, the top five or six inches will have soil.
