Ukrainians are on ‘the front line of freedom’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is showing a “courage and determination” not seen since Winston Churchill, according to Chair of the UK’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Tom Tugendhat.
“We know that the Ukrainians are, quite literally, on the front line of freedom right now … I am nothing but impressed by the Ukrainian people,” Mr Tugendhat told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
Mr Tugendhat added that the Russian invasion was likely not going as Putin had planned.
“Every day that goes by, every hour that goes by, Russia’s position gets worse,” Mr Tugendhat said.
“He clearly mobilized thinking he could do a Blitzkrieg operation … he hasn’t taken any major cities so far.”
