Sirens sound in Kyiv as Ukrainian forces battle Russia outside city

Residents of Kyiv, Ukraine are forced to stay inside due to a curfew that remains in place tonight as Ukrainian forces clash with the Russian military nearby.

The curfew itself has been put in place in order to prevent residents from being mistaken for Russian saboteurs.

While The Associated Press' Joe Federman says it has been eerily quiet on Saturday with little fighting inside the capital, it is still taking place outside the capital with the Russian advance appearing to have stopped, at least temporarily.
