Just like the title asks, are studios relying too much on nostalgia these days? So far, the highest grossing movies seem to be sequels, remakes, reboots, or anything else connected to a pre-existing franchise. How much longer can this last? When will the Law of Diminishing Returns kick in? Hopefully soon
