Triumph - "Suitcase Blues" - Acapella practice vocal run - Performed by Dino T. Manzella

Before I sing a song with a friend in my studio, I always like to record a vocal run. It helps me run through where I am comfortable while planning my phrasing and allows my friends to anticipate what to expect from me in range or in pauses.

This song is much more raw. Especially acapella. It has a slight vocal reverb and I'm working my BeyerDynamic 500C ribbon mic a lot better than I had in the past. I've really got to stay up on it.

This song is jazz in nature and by the band Triumph. I've always liked it and has such a cool feel to it. Bradley Michael Knechtges said that he is up for doing this song with me. I have no doubt it will be memorable.

I'm on the fence of performing the end the way Triumph does it or the way I did it here in this video.

I know Brad from when he played guitar in Jesus Christ Superstar in Lockport, Illinois last Spring with me.

There is a good chance we will be doing that show again.
