Written by Jon Nicholson (Mafia Nation / 7DayBinge / Stroller), this song has the feel of Gospel and the heart of a ballad. It's a strange and wonderful mix. The song develops slowly and builds to a beautiful finish.

I figured I would re-release it with lyrics because they have a powerful vibe, while also providing a preview to some of the more emotional parts of the song.

It's THE very first song I chose to record with a friend in my video studio. It's a song written by Jon Nicholson ( Associated with The Muzikmafia )

I performed this using my USB microphone (before my BeyerDynamic 500C came in). So, although the audio quality is not perfect, I do like this performance.

Jon Nicholson is completely underrated as a writer and performer. Check out some of his videos and CDs.

I met and heard him the first time at a little venue in Chicago called The Hideout. He was playing with members from a band I used to tour with called Simple Simon. I was completely amazed at the talent that was in that room on that day. There were a group of people that came up from Nashville for this one gig. Jon was one of them.

Little did I know that a cool song with a great hook was being played by the, then, unknown duet of Big & Rich called "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy". Also there was Cowboy Troy and also Corey Gierman.

I loved Jon's music overall. They other people were good. But Jon had opened with a song called Helmet that really captured my attention and I purchased the one and only demo CD he had on him that day.

Truly a night I will always remember.
