This is a song I had originally recorded for a local band in Chicago called Crash Palace in the early 1990s.

Their original song, covered by us.

I always loved the song and appreciated the captivating emotional vocals by John Drwal and guitar stylings of John Ridenour. I hope we did the song justice. I wish that I could remember more of the band members names. They certainly deserve credit.

It is unfortunate that "Crash Palace" did not gain more ground before disbanding. They certainly had all the makings of a great band.

The lyrics are about the , then, ex-girlfriend of the bass player. Oddly enough, shortly after the recording, he got back together with her while the band played the song out in the live circuit. A little uncomfortable for her, I imagine, but an absolutely great tale to tell

After listening to this new recording of the song, a friend said that my vocals we reminiscent of Linda Perry from "Four Non Blondes" in the song "Morphine & Chocolate". Oddly enough, Linda is one of my favorite singers. I can see the similarities. The reverb I used on my vocals were close to what she used on "Morphine & Chocolate"".

On a side note, the lyrics are about the , then, ex-girlfriend of the bass player. Oddly enough, shortly after the recording, he got back together with her while the band played the song out in the live circuit. A little uncomfortable for her, I imagine, but an absolutely great tale to tell
