Putin declares war on Ukraine？

On Thursday, February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed his nation, announcing a “special military operation” against Ukraine.
The speech came on the heels of his decision to recognize the Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic on February 21 and the signing of mutual cooperation agreements between Russia and the two breakaway regions.
Madeleine Albright, the 64th U.S. Secretary of State, wrote in the New York Times, it would be a historic mistake if Putin were to make a desperate move and openly invade Ukraine.
