The L5200 and L7000 are distinct in their ability to be paired with a MAC-based iOS device. An user needs to download the LYNXConnect app. This app will give an user the ability to control the system from the local network. Simply put, while products like Total Connect might take 5 to 10 seconds to connect with the system because of the latency caused by how the signal gets from a computer or phone back to the panel, the iOS app will allow local, near instantaneous control of the system.
