Sterling gives a great, short explanation of how to program the Honeywell 5820L door and window sensor to Honeywell's most popular wireless security system, the L5200. The programming is very similar to previous AUI keypads by Honeywell, but the system has a few differences between the older L5100, and the newer L7000, though the L5200 and the L7000 are almost exactly the same. The 5820L, is one of our favorite sensors. Able to be programmed as any other sensor, either by typing in the serial or faulting it three times, the thin-line sensor makes it a great piece for double hung windows, and other windows where the sill or the frame are too thin for other sensors like the broader 5811 or 5816.
