A key fob is a smart addition to your Lyric Security System because it allows you to control the unit remotely. You can view its current status whether it’s armed or disarmed. You can also see if the Controller is ready to arm. But its value is in the control it offers the user.
You can arm or disarm without entering a master code for immediate action. You can disarm it when you come home for hands-free operation. The key fob comes with an additional safety feature to trigger an emergency panic alert if you are approached by a stranger outside of your home. These are all excellent reasons to consider adding one to your home security system. However, they also represent a vulnerability. The same convenient features that you enjoy puts your home’s protection at risk if it is lost or stolen.
You have the ability to both install or delete a key fob through the control panel going through the Tools menu using the installer code. Adding a new device is shown in a separate video. The user-friendly interface on the Controller makes it easy to remove a lost advice to keep your home safe and secure.
You can also view all the key fobs you have installed on your security system along with their respective serial numbers for quick identification. The video shows the critical procedure of removing a device if needed.
It’s vital to remove a key fob from your system as soon as you discover it’s been lost. Fortunately, it’s simple process with only a few steps. Once the key fob is removed, it is immediately disabled. It can no longer control any functioning of your home security system to arm or disarm the Controller.
