-3d Jelly Cakes
-What’s difficult about creating these cakes is you inject the colored pieces from the bottom, so you are building the cake upside down
-Traditionally the different colors used in the jelly cake come from natural sources such as pumpkin for yellow, matcha tea powder for green and dragon fruit for pink.
-More common today people used artificial food dyes to get colors they are looking for
-You must first prepare the clear jelly and let it set then all your colors are prepared have to remain on a warm stove to keep them in liquid form
-The colored liquids are injected into the clear jelly to create the art, usually flowers
-There are different tools to mimic different flower petals as well as other tools are used like syringes
-Everything has to be created in reverse so if it’s flower the stems and top pedals are created first working to the base of the flower last
-The cream colored jelly can be make from coconut, condensed, soy or cow’s milk.
-Masters of the craft can create a variety of different flowers including roses, tulips, daisies, sunflowers, carnations and even cherry blossoms
