Beer Yoga
-Started in Germany, surprise, surprise then moved over to Australia, also not a surprise
-Beer Yoga is simple doing yoga while drinking beer
-Beer yoga originated at the Burning Man festival but was brought to the yoga studio by Jhula, a german yoga instructor.
-Originally only in german, beer yoga is now practiced all over the world
-The founder of beer yoga says beer yoga is very serious as drinking beer allows you to reach your highest level of consciousness
-The idea is that yoga is a way to unplug from your daily routine just like drinking beer and by combining the two it allows one to really relax and de-stress
-The interpretation of beer yoga varies per studio, the original Bier Yoga practices yoga while drinking beer, while other studios running the classes drink before and after class but not during
-Breweries around the world are opening their doors and clearing their floors for beer yoga
-Beer yoga has been received as a very unpretentious, approachable form of yoga with a social aspect to it
-This new form of yoga is bringing in a lot of men into the yoga scene as often it’s the man in a relationship bringing his partner to the brewery to do yoga
