Located in London, England the Kensington Palace was once home to Princess Diana. Although the general public cannot view her residence there is a sectioned off portion of the palace that the general public can visit that has some of Princess Diana’s designer dresses on display. The residence is so large that many different royal family members have apartments in the palace.
Fairfield Pond - $250 Million
Dubbed the most expensive house ever sold in the United States the Fairfield Pond has it all.
Located in the Hamptons, the most expensive neighborhood in the United States this home is placed on 63 acres of land. 29 bedrooms, a basketball court, bowling alley, 66,000 sq feet in the main house alone and a $150,000 hot tub, there’s nothing this house doesn’t have.
The White House - $320 million
Chosen as the presidential house since the 1800s, the white house would be the most expensive house ever sold on U.S. soil but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. The White House has a total of 132 rooms across 6 floors, a tennis court, jogging track, swimming pool, movie theater, and bowling lane. Every new president gets $100,000 to decorate the bedroom.
Villa Leopolda - 736 million
This magnificent estate in the French Riviera spans across 20 acres. Owned by Mikhail Prokhorov, owner of the Brooklyn Nets, this villa was originally built by King Leopold II of Belgium in 1902. The 29,000 sq ft villa is located in Cote D’Azure in France. It has 11 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a commercial sized greenhouse, swimming pool, pool house, outdoor kitchen, helipad, 50 gardeners and a guest house larger than most millionaire’s mansions.
Antilla - 1 Billion
Mukesh Ambani built the Antilla on a 49,000 sq ft plot of land in the middle of Mumbai. This home for 5, has 27 floors including a 4 story garage with space for 168 cars, 9 elevators, a spa, salon, ballroom, 50 seat movie theatre, 3 helipads, multiple swimming pools, yoga and dance studios, an ice cream room and a snow room which can manufacture snow on command. The iconic W shaped beams contains a hanging garden floor which helps to regulate the building’s temperature. The home reportedly has 600 people on staff to maintain the building.
Buckingham Palace 1.56 Billion
Built in 1705 the palace was constructed as a town house for the Duke of Buckingham. The palace has been the official residence of the royal family since 1837. One can easily get lost at buckingham palace, with 1514 doors. There are 775 rooms, 19 state rooms, 52 royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. You’ll also find ballrooms, banquet halls, a post office, police station, doctor’s surgery room, cinema and a swimming pool within the palace. Although it’s incredibly unlikely the home will ever be sold, it’s 1.5 billion worth comes thanks to the rapid increase in land value in London.
