IOC condemns 'breach of Olympic Truce' after Russia invades Ukraine

On Thursday (February 24), the International Olympic Committee (IOC) denounced Russia for invading Ukraine, claiming that the Russian government had violated the current Olympic Truce, which attempts to use sport to promote peace and communication.
On Thursday, Russia launched an all-out land, air, and sea invasion of Ukraine, the largest attack by one country against another in Europe since World War II.
