Did you know born from the deep wilderness in British Columbia is a wooden rocket car? On this episode, we’ll unveil the Cedar Rocket.

Setting a Guinness World Record this rocket car clocked in at 47.6 mph or 76.6 km/h as the world’s fastest motorized log. The Cedar rocket was constructed in Williams Lake B.C. by Pioneer Log Homes the team behind HGTV’s series Timber Kings. The wood frame of the car came from a single 240-year-old western red cedar. This log car combines parts from a Mazda RX-8, twin 20- horsepower turbines, and an electric powertrain. They went with electric because a fuel tank simply wouldn’t fit. In Chandler, Arizona it became the world’s fastest car made from a tree at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.
Weighing in at 2,200 lbs or 1000 kg wooden masterpiece has handmade with chisels and chainsaws. This crazy log car’s fate is that of touring North America and being sold at auction. Barrett Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale Arizona is the listing auction house with proceeds going to several U.S. and Canadian veterans groups.
