SOLAR Powered RV! - Dethleffs e.home

Born from German engineering is a Solar RV like no other. On this episode we bring you the future of sustainable RV’s.

Created by German company Dethleffs, this rv known as “e.home” has no gasoline engine just an electric one. Powered by a full array of solar panels mounted on all sides of the RV the e.home is for those people who are looking to take to the road with no destination in mind.

This RV is built on Dethleffs’s Iveco Daily Electric chassis featuring 107 horsepower from it’s electric motor. Its range is 100 miles or 161 km without considering the solar panels plastered across nearly every square inch of the rv which will charge as you drive. The solar panels can generate 3,000 watts of power which it stores to a 228-ah battery.

The solar kit is made up of victron energy products which can power all your electronics like your phone with a dc converter. This is made possible by the included charge controller and ac inverter which also charges the lithium ion batteries.

Not looking like grandpa’s 1970’s RV this vehicle features a modern design, Interior flooring come with Infrared heating panels, circular wireless charging dock, fully furnished interior and starlight projection system above the sleeping area.

Advanced technology is installed on these RVs include window tinting film between the panels of glass and a smart air capture system that collects warm air on days warmer than 79 degrees which it uses to heat the cabin when temperatures drop at night time.
