In this video, Jorge talks about the Total Connect service from Honeywell and how it can be used with the Lyric Controller. Total Connect can be accessed to arm and disarm the panel, check the status of sensors, control Z-Wave home automation devices, view the live feed of security cameras and more.

Total Connect is a remote interactive service that can be accessed from anywhere to control a synced Honeywell Lyric Controller System. The service can be reached using any standard web browser on a computer. But the main appeal of Total Connect is the mobile app. This app is available for free download for any Android or iOS device, and it allows for the Lyric to be controlled from essentially anywhere in the world.

The Total Connect Mobile App has a red and white logo, and it is called Total Connect 2.0. Upon logging in to the app, the current status of the synced system is displayed. The user has quick options to arm or disarm the system. Any command that is sent will pass through the AlarmNet Server and onto the Lyric Controller. Also on the main Total Connect 2.0 screen is the weather forecast for the current week.

On the main screen, there are buttons for keypad and sensors. The keypad button allows a user to control the system as though they were using a touch button keypad. The sensor button displays a list of all the sensors programmed with the system, along with their current status. Any sensors that are faulted or troubled will be identified in the list.

Total Connect also allows for home automation functions. This includes controlling any programmed Z-Wave lights and thermostats. Rules and scenes can be created from Total Connected. There is also a section for viewing any programmed security cameras.
