Managing Total Connect 2 0 User Profiles from a Tablet

In this video, Jorge shows users how to manage panel user profiles from Total Connect 2.0 when using a tablet. This is done through the users menu of Total Connect 2.0. It is possible to create a new user code from Total Connect 2.0 and then transfer the new code over to the panel so it can be used.

The layouts for the Total Connect 2.0 Android App and the Total Connect 2.0 iOS App are slightly different. But they generally feature similar menus and options overall. If a user wants to add, edit or delete system codes from Total Connect 2.0, they should access the users menu. Any system code can be altered from TC2, with the exception of the Installer Code. The Installer Code can only be changed from the panel itself by using the existing Installer Code.

It is also possible to add new users to the Total Connect 2.0 account so that they can login to TC2 and control the system from the platform. However, the user does not necessarily have to have their own 4-digit code for controlling the system directly from the panel. It is always possible to provide the user with a 4-digit system code later on if needed. When providing a 4-digit code, the user can choose to have it applied to a single alarm system or every system associated with their Total Connect account.

In order for the process to complete, it is necessary to perform a user sync. This will associate any newly added codes with the panel. If a user sync is not performed, then the new codes will not be pushed from Total Connect to the panel, and the new codes will not work. A user should test any newly added code to make sure that the user sync went through successfully.
