To change from Ear to Forehead.
(1) Turn the unit off.

(2) Press and hold the power button until the LCD will illuminate ONLY the "Ear" icon . Release the power button.Tap the SCAN button and the Ear icon will change to the Forehead icon. Tap the power button to turn off the unit.

(3) You will have to do this every time you remove the batteries. The same steps are used to switch from Forehead to Ear mode.

To change from C to F
(1) Turn the unit off

(2) Press and hold the SCAN button until the LCD will illuminate ONLY the letter "C". Release the SCAN button.

(3) Tap the SCAN button again quickly. The C will change to F. Tap the power button to turn the unit back off. The next time you turn the unit on it will be set to F.

(4) You will have to do this every time when you remove the batteries. The same steps are used to switch from F to C.
