Grow WIllow from Cuttings (dogwood too)

Growing willow from cuttings is so easy... if you're learning how to propagate plants, this would be a good one to get some experience (and confidence) with. In the landscape, I recommend "stooling" or coppicing the willows to encourage brightly colored stems for winter interest. Also, because willow roots can spread aggressively, keeping the size under control is a good idea. Another great shrub for winter stem color is dogwood (cornus) varieties. In this video, I'll highlight some of these as well.
