Detroit Style Pizza Co. was founded in 2012 by World Champion Pizza Maker Shawn Randazzo, who made it his life's mission to make sure the entire nation knows about Detroit Style Pizza.

Instantly recognizable by its square shape and thick deep-dish crust, Detroit Style Pizza got its start in the mid 1940's thanks to soldiers returning home after WWII. Rather than using traditional round pans, in true Motor City fashion, the originators baked their pizza in square, blue steel automotive parts pans that allowed the outer edges of cheese to caramelize, forming a delicious golden brown cheese barrier around the perimeter of the pie.

For decades, Detroit Pizza remained relatively unknown outside the region, a gem among St. Clair Shores restaurants. However Shawn helped it gain worldwide fame after winning the 2012 World Pizza Maker of the Year Award. Now, it’s arguably the best pizza in Detroit, and some would say, the world.

This regional favorite starts off with Detroit Style Pizza Company’s award winning dough that is layered edge to edge with a blend of brick and mozzarella cheese. Topped off with their signature Sicilian sauce, just as tradition dictates, this Motor City pie once confined to the metro Detroit area is finally getting the recognition it deserves.

Pizzas are made-to-order and promptly frozen.
Although each box is carefully packed with ice packs and picked up for immediate shipment, it is normal for the pizza and ice packs to partially thaw during shipment.
If gel packs are fully thawed and warm, eating the pizza is not recommended
Upon receipt, please, cook, refrigerate or place in the freezer.
Pizzas will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 1-2 days. If you wish to keep them longer, you can store them in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Cooking Instructions
From Frozen

Preheat oven to 375F. (If using toaster oven 350F)
If sauce is frozen transfer to a microwave safe bowl or container and thaw out in microwave so be able to spoon on pizza.
Remove pizza from wrapper. Place on cookie sheet.
With spoon, put sauce on top of pizza. Do not spread on, let drop from spoon.
Place cookie sheet in oven on center rack. Cook approximately 25 minutes.(G.F. 15 min.)
Carefully take pizza out of oven and let cool for a couple minutes. Enjoy!
From Thawed

Preheat oven to 375F. (If using toaster oven 350F)
If sauce is frozen transfer to a microwave safe bowl or container. Then put in microwave for 10-20 seconds and stir with spoon.
Remove pizza from wrapper. Place on cookie sheet.
With spoon, put sauce on top of pizza. Do not spread on, drop from spoon.
Place cookie sheet in oven on center rack. Cook approximately 15 minutes.(G.F. 10 min.)
Carefully take pizza out of oven and let cool for a couple minutes. Enjoy!
