LOD THE BLACKSMITH

Lod, the blacksmith in Riverwood, will send Hired Killers to anyone who offends him. Not even the Dragonborn is safe from his wrath. Though the title of Protector of Riverwood isn’t exactly a responsibility he takes lightly. As he usually gets the right of it.

Lod considers any mark of his power to be a challenge to be answered.
“Didn’t you ever wonder why the ancient Rhovanion race is all the way down in Khadgar.” At the mention of Rhovanion in the same sentence as the Dragonborn, he’s more than ready to take on the challenge.

This blustering people’s choice has a flair for the dramatic. One can tell it’s the legacy of the Free People’s storytellers. (Though it could be that the Dragonborn is the only one who has ever paid attention to the details of such sagas.)

It’s a shame this whole story only exists in this incredibly brief summary. It’s one of the most emotionally gripping sections of the storyline, so I suppose some of you will be able to look past the faults in the writing.

ABOUT SKYRIM SPECIAL EDITION

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is a remastered version of Skyrim released in October 2016 and only available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Special Edition is 64-bit and built on an updated version of the Creation Engine that Bethesda Game Studios used for Fallout 4. The remastered game features high-resolution textures, upgraded graphic effects including new shaders and volumetric god rays, and dynamic field-depth.

Special Edition includes all three official add-ons, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. An in-game mod browser is introduced, allowing players to download approved mods from Bethesda.net.
