African butter fruit, an egg shaped fruit about the size of a small coconut that would take up your entire hand. Inside they yield a yellow, sweet edible fruit which can only be eaten when the fruits are immature. When fully ripe the yellow flesh hardens too much to be consumed and tastes bitter. Within the yellow flesh is tons of juice that oozes out when the fruit is cut.
