In this video, Jorge explains how you cannot "turn-off" the Arm Confirm feature for a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus. Arm Confirm is a feature that has the system produce a loud tone whenever you set the system to Arm Away using a key fob or keypad. There is no way to use this feature on an IQ Panel 2 Plus.

The purpose of the Arm Confirm feature is to prevent false alarms. The system wants to make sure that you are made aware when you set your system to Arm Away. When your system is in Arm Away mode, activating any Interior Zones will cause an immediate system alarm. This Zone Type is often associated with indoor motion sensors. So if your system is Armed Away and you are moving around your building, then you will likely cause a false alarm. To prevent this, the system will make an effort to let you know that you have set your system to Arm Away mode.

When you Arm Away from a keyfob or keypad and Arm Confirm is enabled, then the system will make a very loud sound to let you know that you have Armed Away. This tone is usually as loud as the system's internal siren, but it is only produced for a quick second. The tone only lasts a very short moment, but it is loud enough to make you aware that you are Arming Away. This way, you will know that you need to exit the premises immediately. Remember, nobody should remain inside the building when you have set your system to arm away.

Many users find the loud tone associated with the Arm Confirm feature to be really annoying. As a result, they will look for a way to turn it off. Most panels allow for some way to turn off the Arm Confirm tone. However, this is impossible on a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus. The system does not allow you to turn off the Arm Confirm function because the system does not use a true Arm Confirm feature. When you arm away using a key fob, the IQ Panel 2 will announce that it is entering away mode, and it will even say that it was armed using a key fob. However, the panel will not produce a true "loud confirm tone" like other panels that use an Arm Confirm feature.
