In this video, Jarrett from Alarm Grid explains how to enroll an IQ Fob device with a Qolsys IQ Panel 2 System. The IQ Fob is a 319.5 MHz key fob. It will work with the original Qolsys IQ Panel 2, as well as the 319.5 MHz version of the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus. It can be auto-enrolled by an end user.

The Qolsys IQ Fob is a key fob that allows you to wirelessly control your system. You need to be on-site and within wireless range of the system, but it can be much easier than needing to get up and walk over to the panel. The IQ Fob has four (4) buttons, with each designed to perform a specific function. There is a button for disarming the system, a button for arming the system, an automation button, and an auxiliary panic button. The actual functions of these buttons are determined based on the Sensor Group that you assign the key fob. The key fob is small, and it can easily fit inside your pocket or purse. It is convenient to carry around and control the system when needed.

The Qolsys IQ Fob has a wireless range of roughly 100 feet. As it is a 319.5 MHz device, it will work with nearly any system that supports 319.5 MHz sensors. In addition to the IQ Panel 2, it can also be paired nicely with many of the Interlogix Security Systems. The IQ Fob also has an attached key ring so you can secure it to a key chain or even your car keys. Really, it is just a handy device to carry around for operating your system. Remember, you can also control your IQ Panel 2 System using the Alarm.com Mobile App on your phone. That can be a good alternative to the IQ Fob.
