Actress Taja V. Simpson: What It’s Like to Work with Tyler Perry & More!

Breakout star, entrepreneur, and best selling author, Taja V. Simpson’s journey hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth it. She has gone onto land some impressive roles. As an award-winning actress, she has over 20 years of experience in acting with more than 50 credits in film and TV.

Perhaps best known for playing Priscilla Owen in BET’s #1 scripted cable drama, Tyler Perry’s “The Oval.” She has appeared in Grey's Anatomy, NCIS:LA, The Soul Man, and Lethal Weapon just to name a few.

Taja is widely known for her role as the fun and sassy wife opposite legendary Actor and Director Tyler Perry; in “Boo2! A Madea Halloween.”

Through this success, she launched her own endeavor, The Working Actors Academy, which helps advise up-and-coming actors. She created The Working Actors Academy to help show actors how the business works, a skill that isn’t shown or taught really anywhere else.
