On Feb 22, 2022, the contituency received a tip that governor Ige and Rick Blangiardi would attend a private party at Central Pacific Bank in chinatown. This was a perfect opportunity for concerned constituents (Like Jessica Priya @my_hilife_eyes )to ask the mayor why Hawaii is the last state to lift the mandates even though our case numbers have been considerably lower than California's per capita for some time now. The reason we have to sneak up on our elected officials like this to ask them the "Hard Questions," is because they all have been actively avoiding we the people and hiding from us over the last year. We have given them plenty of opportunities to setup a townhall with We the People but they've disappointed us with false promises and excuses of why they couldn't due to covid or because they are afraid some of the constituents might be unvaccinated. Jessica Priya has been fighting for Hawaii especially with the anti-mask activism, during this event, both governor Ige and mayor Blangiardi left off their masks after their speeches and continued to leave it off during the whole time where they were mingling with the people at the party, not eating or drinking a single time. This just shows the hypocrisy of holding Hawaii hostage with a mask mandate when our top elected officials and many of the guests of that party aren't abiding by the indoor mask mandate policy. The time to drop the mask mandate and vax pass is now, not on some future date.
As US cases drop, Hawaii is lone remaining state sticking with indoor mask mandate. Latest COVID-19 updates
