“Symptomatic” means you have symptoms.
“Asymptomatic” means you don’t have symptoms.
In this short clip from a media conference, Fauci clarified that ONLY SYMPTOMATIC carriers are the causes of outbreaks. In other words, rather you’re infected or not, if you don’t have symptoms, you’re not going to make anyone else symptomatic.
