• Is 44:9-11 The makers of idols as well as the idol themselves are vanity. Their delectable things (desirable images) shall not profit, and who but a senseless man will thus labor without profit? Idolaters themselves bear witness of the stupidity of their own acts in making and trusting in gods that cannot see or know anything. Those who make idols and those who worship them are alike—stupid to accept such as god when they are ashamed of them, realizing that they know nothing, see nothing, and are absolutely and completely unprofitable .

• Is. 44:12-14 This scripture explains how idols are made. The smith heats the metal in the fire. He fashions it with a hammer. He makes it with the strength of his arms until he is famished. The carpenter measures it. He draws a sketch of it. He shapes it with planes, chisels, and carving tools. He makes it after the figure and beauty of a man. He hews down cedars, cypresses, oaks, and ash trees which God planted and nourished to be fuel for man. This is foolishness because the fool says in he is hearth there is no God.

• Is. 44:15-18 Here Isaiah describes how people make their own gods. How absurd to make a god from the same tree that gives firewood. What are the gods we make—money, fame, or power? We deceive ourselves if we expect them to empower our life.

Personal Supplication
Father, in the name of Jesus as for me and my household, we have chosen to serve You, the living God forever in a covenant manner. Holy Spirit be my help! Josh 24:14-15
14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Daily Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover me with his feathers, and under his wings shall I trust: his truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shall I behold and see the wicked rewarded.

Because I have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation;
There shall no evil befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling.
For God shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.
They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.
I shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet.
Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set me on high, because I have known His name.
I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.

With long life will God satisfy me, and shew me His salvation.
So shall it be for me and my household today and forever, Amen and Amen!
